Hi I am new to the site. I own a 2003 ford ranger and I am trying to fix it up. I have some bings on the drivers door which i would like to replace. The trunk door need to be replaced because it doesn't have a handle. Right now i am trying to get tires for it. I am thinking used tires versus new tires. What do you think would be the best way for me to go on the tires? I am a single senior female who want to ride in style with the Ranger. I joined so that I can get some feedback on which way I should go. Thank you

Welcome to the forum

Its called a tailgate, just FYI, if thats what you mean by trunk door, or maybe you mean tonneau cover?
You can just get the handle

Rangers have 2 sizes of tailgates, Style side(Regular side) bed tailgate is wider than the Flare side(step side) bed tailgate
Flare side seen here: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped..._flareside.jpg

So if you don't have the STEP on the side of the bed then you have the wider Style side bed, and need tailgate for that width

You can use a 1993 to 2011 tailgate on your 2003 Ranger

Also a 1993 to 2005 Range door from regular cab or extended cab(2 or 4 door) will work on your 2003
In 2006 is when Ford changed the side mirror mounting I think, so mirrors won't match unless you change both doors

Tires have a date on them, tire makers recommend 8 year limit on use, after that there is a chance of belts inside the tire separating, I say 10 years is OK
So check the DATE on the used tires, if they are 6 or 7 years old then really up to you on taking the chance with them
The older the tire the LESS you should pay for it regardless of remaining tread
