Hey there all,
First time member here, decided to join as I am currently in the middle of doing an engine swap on my '01 Mazda b4000 and was looking for some information.
Little back story about me and my truck, got it about 5 years ago and honestly for the first couple of years I heavily neglected the old pig. I'm not the most mechanically inclined person and the thought of working on my own vehicle was very anxiety inducing, so I wouldn't. After a few years driving the truck I decided that it is now a part of me for I think I love it more than I love myself and realized that if I wanted to keep it around, I needed to figure this stuff out. Since then I try my hardest to tackle every job with an "it can be done" attitude and it's worked out pretty good so far
Currently, my dad, in an unfortunate turn of events, had an accident and bent his frame for his 2007 re built ranger (the motor blew a few years back and he had it replaced with a 2010 4.0 sohc) so we now decided why not throw his engine into my truck to give it a new life. I will be making a post all about that as I do need some info before moving forward.
Feel free to reach out, I'm open to suggestions/discussion for again, I am not the most mechanical person 👉
Thanks! -G
