PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO NOT PAINT THAT TRUCK BLACK!
You don't know it yet, but you have the most awesome color available on the Ranger. It was a trim package called "BAMF". You can't find a logo anywhere on the truck for it, but you can find it on your heart every time you drive it.
The package consisted of whatever the stock package is, but in Bright Calypso Metallic Green, which gives you about 14,000 RWHP. The only way to truly unleash that power, though, is to by RF stickers. Because I installed 3 RF stickers, I was sitting at about 25,000 RWHP, and I could feel every cubic centimeter of the truck. There was so much power, that I broke a rocker arm (true story).
Remember, you are now part of the BAMF crew. If you paint it, you're going to lose much needed power with the 3.0, and also be on my **** list.

IMO first and fore most loose the visor. i would go 17" with 3.0 and loose the mud flaps. Bring the gears to 410. And no ground effects. Instead Of black I would go midnight blue and keep the head lamps clear. And glass pack for that bad boy.
In any case good buy for the price IMO. Oh and shave it and a bed cover

Mike, how are you planning to paint the truck? Spray cans? Professional paintjob?
If you do decide to cover up that great colur (chrome, clears, tint and billet go very well with that colour), this is what a spraypaint job can end up looking like. This is my old truck. Cost me $100 to do it in my driveway. All of the body and the rims are spraypainted.
It looks cool temporarily, but your body and truck look in great shape and it's already got a unique colour. Painting it black will just make it blend in and not be original.

Now I will officially welcome you.
Welcome! We are almost like twins. Only not. Cause my truck is older, four wheel drive, extended cab and.....broke. LOL!
It's also a picture *****.
