if you wheel at all...sliders. def. and brush guards bring the suck offroad.

I would vote for sliders, especially if you plan on running rough 4X4 trails without a lift. Sliders will offer protection and peace of mind when running rough trails. It only takes one good hit to screw up your rocker panels. If you plan on adding a body lift later, adding sliders now may not be desirable. However, you could do sliders now and a suspension lift later and not have to relocate the sliders.

I'm surprised no one asked if you even will use the sliders. IMO its pointless just to have them for looks, only get them if you actually need them to protect your rockers.

Yeah if I got them they would probably be more for looks anyways due to the lack of actual places to off-road around me. The places I go aren't really serious enough to do damage to my rockers at all.

I tend to forget to look at where people are from. In AZ pretty much any time you take your truck off road, you risk damage to your rocker panels. I agree with 04blackedge, sliders are not worth the expense if you are not going to need them.

i just assumed that if you were thinking about sliders that you would use them. if youre not going to, then get the brush guard and keep the steps.. but for offroad, def sliders!

x2! I will be building some sliders by the end of the year for my truck. Had a couple close calls already.

yeah he was very helpful when I first called him wondering what he thought about the idea, the main reason I picked his bumper was because it was a quality bumper for a great price compared to what everyone else wants.

and we got the same measurement for width

yeah I got a bone stock xj bumper from him and I had to make it work hopefully myself

then jimmyd found out I got it from him and called him and I guess he started making them from there

I think the ones he uses for rangers himself is the zj bumper he has

Mine looked like this when I got it (it's come along way haha)

Damn, that thought never crossed my mind. The backseat doors on an SUV can probably still get to your ride though because they are curved. I think I will get sliders on every truck from here on out, just to protect it from door dings!
