Is An Over-Head/Pop-up Bed Camper possible on a 3.0 97' Ranger 6ft bed??
Is An Over-Head/Pop-up Bed Camper possible on a 3.0 97' Ranger 6ft bed??
I am new to Ranger-Forums but I own a 3.0 1997 Ford Ranger and I was wondering if I could even do a bed camper and what I could use(Preferably something with a dry bath) and whether I should do a flatbed conversion or do a slide-in.

Welcome to the forum
Not much out there for our smaller Rangers
Google: UPDATE: Our Custom Four Wheel Popup Camper Tour + 4x4 Ford Ranger
Nice video on this brand: https://fourwheelcampers.com/
Its on a 2003 Ranger and your 1997 has exactly the same size 6ft bed(assuming its not a "stepside), 2WD or 4x4 wouldn't matter as far as fitment
You would need to upgrade rear springs regardless of what you decide to do

Then you probably just want a canopy with blacked out windows
Many cities don't allow parking on the streets and sleeping in a camper or RV
Canopies are everywhere so may not even give it a second look
