yeah, it's $25 for the parts, and 25 for knowing how to, go figure it out for yourself if it's such a big deal... like i said, a lot of the parts i used on the first sets i got for free, and i didn't expect they would be as much as they are... go to a custom shop and see how much they would charge you for something that would do this... bet you it will be well into the tripple digits

the extra wiring isn't that bad... i had to do it on my passenger door, something's not right with the power in my lock, it's 12v sometimes, and around 3v other times... i just used a coat hanger, inside the door, fished it through the ducting in the door, probably be easier for you, as you wouldn't have to compete with 1000 wires in the tube... and i was thinking about it, you could put the light next to the lock pin... so you have both, i forget what size hole you would need, but just drill a hole and pop the holder in place, but this is a lot harder to reverse if you ever change your mind...
I know how it works. I'm the one that wrote the how to on LED's on the site for overlays. Trust me, I probably know more than you do. And for custom? You think piecing together parts from radio shack to make money on a forum is custom? I make CUSTOM CNC brackets for body lifted trucks, that I hardly make money on for my "how to".... Hell the machines I use cost 1000x what I sell my brackets for, that doesn't include my "knowing how to"
There isn't anything custom about this, it's just a light. End rant.

yeah, I don't think I will mess with it. Plus, like you say, if I wanted to change it...SOL. besides, this is what I'm working on right now...which if I follow through with getting an stx front valance it will be pricey!

oooh right, don't want to pay 50 for something that was 30? but you'll charge just because you know g-code. dude if you run cnc and you have to maintain a machine with that much hydraulics you should know NOT to complain about a simple "HOW TO" on making a damn LED LIGHT! and noone cares about your CUSTOM BRACKETS cuz they're probably made from 6065 and bend like swiss cheese.
CUSTOM LED LIGHTS FTW!! x2
