not sure if this was mentioned or not.. But why did you sell the ranger to only get another truck you are gonna lift?

It's funny to think that you paid more for the tires than for the entire vehicle that will make them turn lol

I have a budget for this truck.....I still have $250 after the trans swap, wheels, and tires....

I practically stole the truck cause the guy didnt want to put a transmission in it

No, I'm not saying it's a bad thing, I think you got a good deal on the wheels/tires...it's just weird to think about

I think you got a good deal on the BII btw

I got the tires and wheels mounted, but they will not fit on the BII until I get the 4" lift kit on....Hopefully it will go on Friday...

I put on the Ranger 4.0 4wd coil springs I had off my old '97....it raised the front end exactly 1".....

I also put on a CARR light bar (like the KC light bar)....I will be ordering lights and other misc stuff for the lift kit on Monday! I got the CARR light bar for $95 shipped from http://www.car-stuff.com/carparts/fo...034161790.html ....i recommend them, I had it in 2 days with regular ground shipping....

For thos of you who think the KC and CARR light bars stick up too high, the light bar only sticks up 1" off the cab....just enough to get your hand under it to wash the top...

How about a push bar, something like what Stone has? Have you seen your truck around since you sold it? You tell the new owner about RF?

i would like to find a push bar.....but since they don't make them anymore for the BII's it is hard....

the new owner of the '97 lives in Gary, IN (about 4 hours away)....it was funny when he came and got it....he was a little 19 year old punk rocker wanna-be.....he posted up some pictures on TRS right after he got it....i told him about R-F...

yea it will fit a Ranger.....it is actually for a gen 1 Explorer....the bar starts its life as a 56" wide bar and you have to cut it down to fit....even the Explorers have to cut it down.....

Yesterday (3/30/2008) i put on the back 2 new BFG's because one of the tires blew that came on the BII.....I also used a Meguires 3 step wax on the drivers rear quarter and the back hatch....it was an amazing improvement....a little black paint on the frame never hurt anyone...

Befor black paint yesterday:

After black paint:

See the difference:

Today (3/31/2008) I started the tear down for the front lift.....i called the place that did my Ranger 4 years ago (they did it then for $150) and they wanted $400 now so i am doing it.....I am really surprised the bolts are coming out without hardly any force....no impact, or no cheater bars...they are coming out like a new truck.....i think the odometer which says 68000 is more accurate than 168,000....my Ranger was a PITA when we installed the front gears.....the lift isn't susposed to be here till Thursday....here is todays work:

My Superunner steering setup waiting for the lift!
