33's might be a little much if you don't get a 89-90 model.....33's on mine would rub on the fender if i was turning and had a little flex going on.....the next tires will probably be 32's, but nothing more....

mine has the 2.9 in it....you can find them with the 2.3 4 banger in them, but they are rare and mostly 2wd versions....

Yeah I've been seeing a lot of 2.9s on craiglist and then a couple 302s and 351s.

i would honestly NOT buy another vehicle that had the engine swapped, you never know what you will be getting.

Oh I wouldn't either, I was just saying thats what I see. Unless I personally knew the person that did and knew that they did a good job with it.

I went and looked at a '89 BII with a 302 in it. It was a crappy install and it wouldn't hardly run.

If/when I swap another engine into my BII, it will be more than likely a early '90s 4.0. That is MORE than enough power for a BII, espically if i still only have 32's and 4.56 gears!

Makes sense to me. Do you have a link to info on swapping in the D35? Are you going to swap in a 8.8 too? I don't know if this is right or not but didn't all of them come with the 7.5 in the rear?

the Dana 35 swap is easy. All every suspension part that is with the Dana 28 works with the Dana 35. You drop the 28 out and install the 35; no new suspension parts needed unless you are lifting it.

All Bronco II's came with the 7.5" axle. To swap in a Ranger or Explorer 8.8, you have to move the axle perches inward 1" center to center on either side.

I am getting a Dana 35 TTB and a 8.8 out of an Explorer. That will give me a little wider stance all the way around. Since the Bronco II's are a little top heavy and I am removing the front sway bar for better articulation, wider is better

Hey Maurice truck looks great man. Those Bronco II's are really reliable. With 31's and that lift the truck looks pretty big lol. Not sure if you mention it already but have you decided what color you want to paint it? I think black would look nice with the tan interrior. Nice looking truck man.

I am going to keep it red, I like red. I doubt I paint it completetly for a long while.

The tires are 31x10.50x15....I was told it was a 4" lift when I got it....I got lucky!
