You can swap tracks over pretty quick. I did it on the purple truck.

If you've got the right junkyard seats to begin with, they're not bad to swap in.

And quit showing us pictures of your truck man. Its embarrassing.

 

yup. i haven't had around 6 sets of seats or anything so i dont know, i forgot.

all explorer seats 95-01, sport or four door, use the same tracks. they should be a direct swap other than trimming a hole a little. wiring is a two wire setup. power and ground. pretty basic.

If you get the right seats to begin with, you don't have problems.

 

The seats I have in the truck must be outside that range, they weren't even close. I'll have to take a pic sometime.

I'm not worried about these seats though. Just need some time

 

Finally got my 1.5" blocks installed (ditched the stock ones) and my JD traction bars. The bars were used but are in good shape, just need some paint.

The truck is within .5" of being level, which is perfect.

But I have to say the JD traction bars made a HUGE difference, just leaving from a stop sign is noticeable. I haven't had a chance to go offroad, but I'm sure I'll love it.

I highly recommend getting them, even if you don't offroad. Well worth it.

How hard were the traction bars to install? Did you have to lift the truck up any or was it just a bolt on?

 

The rear brackets bolts to the top of your spring perch, the front bracket needs three holes drilled into the spring hanger.

I had the truck on the lift since I installed the blocks, the bars need to be tightened when the truck is on its own weight.

Decided to go wheeling now that the suspension is done. It was my first time at this particular offroad park, I didn't know what to expect. All in all, disappointing, too much mud, not enough trails I fit on.

Anywho, my fiance took pics for me.

 

Just wondering what do you mean they have to be tightened?

 

The front mount has adjustable nuts with bushings so they can be adjusted to compensate for saggy springs

 

Got married on the 25th, during the weekend me and a buddy decided to go cruising around my parents' and brothers' farms. Took a couple pics at the railroad crossing.

Thanks. These seats went in a lot easier than the last set.

 

all in all it took about an hour total.
We only had to modify the 4 holes on each seat to fit the bigger bolts Justin used originally and then we had to drill and tap the seat belt bolt.
Otherwise, wiring was great. Troy was a big help in doing the major leg work of the wiring. all we had to do was run power and ground.

 

that's one thing i make sure i do when i recover/sell expo power seats, make sure to get both sides of the connector. you had a couple extra wires for the heaters as well, but still all very basic wiring.
