01RangerEdge build thread
I hid them as best I could! So far I am very happy with the output, I need to aim mine down another 6inches. The output is on par with my 55watt HIDs and the beam is much better.

I haven't bench tested them yet. I'll try tomorrow. The first set I ordered had pretty nice output

So, I got my X5's and I thought "How the hell am I going to mount these monstrosities?"
Then I saw a member on FB taking the housings apart, he was going to retrofit them into his OEM Focus fogs.
So, I messaged him and he said they were permasealed and heat helped loosen the glue. I thought "I got this, no big deal..."
Then this happened

Luckily, the modules are unharmed and now I can start the retrofit process

Rust has been creeping in on my rear bumper, I've ignored it long enough and decided to do something about it.
Some of you might be wondering why since I'm anxiously waiting for an opportunity to swap to a styleside. If I sell this bumper I want to protect the next guy, also I don't want this rust getting any worse.
I'm going to get it media blasted, then I will prime it. I don't plan on repainting it blue unless my styleside plans fall by the wayside.

You can media blast that bumper, but in that last pic that corner is pretty far gone.
The inside has some surface rust which can be scuffed away no problem. but hey, you can always patch panel it.

I have around 149K
As I fly over I can let them go, just keep your head up.
P.C. Has mentioned his interest, not sure if he has enough money but waiting on him now !
The bulk of the bumper/valance would cost more for shipping.
Luck with your bumper... what about buying one of the Custom 4x4 Fab Rear Bumpers for Stepside Rangers ?
Ike made me one and it looks really good in my opinion.
Price is reasonable for the great work, less than other companies. IF YOU CAN FOND ONE.
I don't think any one else makes a rear bumper for a Steppie Ranger.

It really depends on what your overall goal is for your truck. A good amount of guys use a d30 or a d44 or a d60. You just need to read about different axles and see which one fits your wants/needs the best. As for suspension, you could run leafs, coils, or coilovers.
The point is, there is a lot of different ways to do a SAS, you just gotta figure out what you want and go from there. There is a good amount of build threads out there to show you the many different ways of going about tackling the job.
01RangerEdge, your rig is clean and is gonna look sweet with a solid axle under the front! I'm looking forward to seeing the build.

I'm going with a D30 so I can keep my current track width and lug pattern. I don't wheel this truck hard enough to break a D30.
Thanks, I think I can finally get the perfect ride height with an SAS. I only want to gain 3-4 inches over my current setup and run 35's.
The part searching may take a while, but I have a couple promising leads already.
My biggest hurdle is going to be finding a welder/fabricator to help me, I don't trust myself to weld a suspension.
