The 3v motor only makes 10 more hp and I am sure when we are done with the motor that we will get over 10 more hp and TQ.

I want it to be over 400 ft/lbs of TQ, so we will see what we can do.
Leads me to the next question, what tranny? 4R70W from that era, newer one, Built (boost ?) 4R100

Will an F-150 tranny bolt up?

I hope Zach doesnt mind me answering some questions for him.

It will have the 4R100 behind it. It is an awd vehicle, so that makes it a little easier to put the t-case on the tranny that he wants.

Beard I thought you did it all when you put the charger on it and finished the front end again and then cut the bed sides, I knew you wanted to link the rear in the future but did not see a v8 going in.

much respect to you for the work you do.

Thanks Mark.

its gonna be one of the biggest projects I have done I am sure. Luckily Nick is going to lend a hand! :)

I would like to link the rear before the V8 but money and time will be a factor.

Beard, it looks as if you wont have any trouble getting rid of your drivetrain!

I will say this for him. He may arrange orders for all of his left over or removed parts, but I am going to suggest that no parts be picked up until the swap is completed. If we have to, for some reason, use something off of the old drivetrain, we would rather have it all there than go parts searching in the junk yards. Im sure most of you already knew this, but I just wanted to post it so there wouldnt be any question.

Awesome, I'm glad you are doing something different than a 302. That has gotten to be pretty routine. Good luck!
