DO WORK!!!!
|
So... what are you goipng to do about the AC box under the hood??? You know its going to be in the way... Even the supercharged 4.6 had a different type of box, and it was a SOHC 4.6... Just curious. Ha, anyway, awesome idea man, looking forward to seeing the progress!
|
We hope to make it work, if not its just A/C who needs that.
It gets warm here too in the summer but i rarely and i mean rarely would turn my a/c on. Now I dont drive it daily so it doesnt really matter. I love the windows down anyway. As long as I have heat, cold weather and i dont mix. :) |

Yeah not too bad. I want to go to the dunes at least 3-4 times this year before the ranger gets torn down.

Lol, yeah, I can understand! I am the same way. I hardly ever used the air in the other truck, I would rather have the windows down as well, unless its raining. And, since I drive mine everyday, I'll have to get it fixed. Right now it doesn't have freon in it, so its either got a leak, or they just never charged the system after the engine swap. Who knows, everything is there though so I can get it working I'm sure. Now get on with the swap...
|
Sweet Jesus... I said before I have the utmost respect for you for what you have done to your truck and that you actually do it yourself.
I really don't have the words for this one... Awesome, insane, excellent... Those seem too bland for what this beast is going to be when it's done. :notworthyzabeard |
I am ready to get this project rolling. Too bad its not gonna happen until later. :(
|
Just let me know when I need to go on a trip again so you can complete all the cool work and I can come back and be mind boggled again.
|
Very cool idea Zach!
I wish the line wasnt 6 deep for your drivetrain! That motor would be badass in the B2. |
The 2000 Lincoln navigator shares the same heads as the ford GT.
|
Yeah it does.
I really cant wait to start on it. |

is it not allowed! jeeze...
|
I was thinking of that swap too.
Although... Getting a whole new truck seems more likely for me than this kind of project. I dont have nearly as much time/effort put into the new truck. |
yeah its gona be wild for sure
|
cut the navigator in half, its all stripped, got a few more things to do to it and I should be ready to take it down to NC.
I am kinda planning on next weekend but I dont know now, got a offer to do something else next weekend which would be a lot of fun. |
You really cut it in half? LMAO.
You must be bored. |
LOL! I wanna see pictures of it cut in half.
|
I cut it in half so its not so heavy to haul down there. its also less wind drag and takes up less space in the garage. looks pretty goofy. The back half is sitting outside now.
lessons learned.. dont cut freon lines (stinks) a navigator has radiator lines going the rear? even if a vehicle has not ran in a while its still got gas in the line the front of a navigator is still very heavy. |
