4.10 rear gear ratio is okay
the granny low 1st gear of the np435 will compensate for the high ratio diff gear
there were 3 different 1st gear ratio`s of the 435
mark the input and output shaft with a marker line , turn the input shaft by hand ,
and count how many times the input shaft turns versus how many times the output shaft turns
you are looking for 1st gear ratio ( 5:13 / 5:89 / etc )

Alright i will see if i can figure that out once i put it back together. i still need to replace the synchro rings. So of i put that ratio in the rear wouldnt i have to replace the front too? i really dont know a whole lot about them but i thought they need to be close other wise the tires will turn at different speeds and then break things or put allot of stress on things.
Good news everyone!!! Well at least for me it is. This weekend i picked up some 35 in. tires with rims for a great price and next weekend i am going to pick up 2 more dana 44's and 2 more ford 9 in. axles all for free! So these axles will have the same ratios so i wont have to buy new gears which will save me money. I will post pictures of everything next weekend hopefully.
Its been awhile since i have been able to post anything on here so here is everything i have so far..
These are my 35's next to my 31's. one of the 35's is ripped so i need to find one more tire of the same size.

Tell me what you think? Should i keep these the same color or paint them black?

Along with the tires i got a frame with a dana 44 and for 9 in rear. Unfortunately the 44 has the cast wedges so i think i am going to stick with the first axle i got. I got them both apart and are nearly ready to be blasted and painted.

Along with the axles i got another transfer case. Not sure what it is. I havent cleaned it up yet to find a i.d. Maybe you know what it is. it has a Hi and Low 4X4 and come out of a 73 ford truck .

The problem i had while ago with my hub has come to a final solution. I have to torch it out. i will buy a new part or just use the locking hubs from my other axle.

I have my 302 almost all the way apart and am about ready to send it in the get cleaned and rebuilt.

I also picked up a gas tank that i may use. I havent decided yet.

I have plenty of leaf springs but still not sure what i am going to use to get the best flex and correct ride height. Also i have heard of people using chevy 63 in leaf springs. We have a Chevy truck sitting in my yard but not sure if it has those springs. How do i know?

Attempted to sand blast the frame but it ended up not being strong enough. I will be taking it to a industrial blaster this weekend then painting it.

Also i got my axles and engine completely apart and ready to be cleaned up blasted then painted and rebuilt.

Along with getting the axles apart and trying to blast my frame i got another frame and torched that up.
