was going to, i said screw it. ill drop $100 into material alone, and if it doesnt work its still gonna cost the same to paint them at a shop. may as well get it done right the first time.

now its a waiting game.

Im going to try and flare my bed sunday, along with possibly make a custom leaf pack for the back end. im still on the fence about the whole coils up front idea, im not sold on doing it or not doing it. i figured i can wait a little while and wont have to dump my savings to do everything.

i'm hating that i cant make up my mind on this front end...

im currently thinking ill just start collecting the parts now, and in a month or 2 have everything i need to do the install. at the end of the day i want the coils, and the suspension travel. just cant decide 100%

well my doetsch arms are $447+, so 505 with tax plus shipping. so about 540 shipped for a upper ball joint type lift arms...

or 550 for uniball tubed.

seems bad, and its not cheap, but all i need is those, coils and shocks to do a 2.5" lift/midtravel kit that pulls about 10-12" travel. i can think of a stronger or better priced option, even fabtech wants 500+ for their arms.

yea me and morgan have been eyeing them since the guy listed em on DR, I just can't justify $400 for UCA's unfortunately. Im getting fabtech UCA's and coils from craigslist soon though. Good enough for now

i was thining the same. heres my logic.

buy doetsch or fabtech for 250-300 used, want to upgrade because im not happy, costs me the same and i lose money on the fabtech parts plus my time and an alignment. id much rather just wait, drop the coin and get it done with. my front end setup has been 2 yrs in the making, and now that im making enough to get it i dont wanna regret saving money over getting exactly what i want.

BUT at the same time not blowing thousands out the door on parts i dont necessarily need.

i have a price on the arms and the shocks, brandon at BC supertrucks is supper quick with getting this info to me. A+ on his services gotta say. just waiting on how much the coils will be, and then the decision.

the plan's to get it for $200. I need new balljoints ASAP so i figure might as well upgrade since I need an alignment with new UCA's. Swapping out all the balljoints will cost me the same as getting the fabtech stuff used, so i don't see why not.

yep that makes sense. id do the exact same thing, i need new shocks. instead of buying them and wasting $200, ill get some very nice lift ones setup for my truck to go with everything else.

im thinking my birthday money will cover at least half, and out of pocket wont be very bad at all.

I could use shock's too hahaha, but I don't know much about them. Considering i'll have roughly a 5.5 kit, which means about 2.5" of lift over a stock 4x4. Other then bilstein 5100s (first choice), what else out there are worth getting?

thats about it. unless you wanna get the camburg 2.0 upgrade kit and them you can run fox, radflo, bilstein, racerunner/saw, FOA....

if your tight on cash, thats not the best idea however as the metal for the upgrade is about 20 alone, then 180 per shock. 5100's are less then 100 each

Here is how the truck sits with the new hybrid leaf pack. Gotta say, it rides like a dream now. I might invest in deavers after all.

Im running them like this

64 main leaf
Ranger leaf with ends cut off
Ranger secondary leaf
Chev 64 final leaf with C clamps
No overload

And my shocks are on level 1

Lets just say my front end is bow stiffer without sway bar and stock shocks then my rear is.

a picture from today swapping fenders at 8am.

and a few from yesterday before paint.

Spoke to brandon at BCST, waiting for an email back from Camburg on the coils. He hasn't ordered a set yet, so no idea what they will cost. Lets hope that they will be similar to camburgs price.

So i was watching youtube, and saw that it was a good idea to protect the inside of the fenders. with that said, i coated them with this:

should reduce the chance of the rocks chewing through my fenders. id reccomend it by the way.

Funny you post that, i was chatting with him. for the price he wants used, id rather have new arms and shocks. buying used usually comes with sooner repairs or refresher kits needed. plus his "shipped" price is lower 48.

if brandon doesn't get back to me soo on those coils though i dont think its gonna be happening... lol
