Thanks guys, I'm really happy with how the truck is looking at this point. Sad to say there won't be much of anything happening till after the wedding in February, then only as time, and my wife to be will allow.

When I saw the little pack I wasn't quite sure if it'd work or not, but I went ahead and tried it, and it worked like a charm. It's a more manly alternative than tissue for darn sure.

I took some pictures of my truck flexing through a ditch the other day. I was really surprised that it tucked the 35s as much as it did in the rear.

Yesterday I finally got the ambition to mount my Level II hooks that I have sat on a shelf for about a year. Im really happy how it turned out. I was able to find a piece of angle about the right size, shim it with another piece of steel, and then weld it to the front crossmember. Which is super sturdy now since it is welded to the front hitch from behind.

That was just tacked in place so I could take the bumper off

I'm really liking the look of the front now, brings back memories of pictures of Pedro's E4.
Also, let me add. I learned my lesson about grinding with polyester shorts on

I looked down and my shorts were on fire.
And this is the welder I have been using. Its my favorite kind of "Miller time"

yeah welding in any kind of athletic/basketball shorts is asking for it too. I just about burned my ***** off one time when I was welding some exhaust under my truck. nice chunk of molten lava flew onto my shorts, threw my boxers grazed my junk and right out the other side. I was like hooooly *****..never again

Yeah, fist time I've burned through shorts. I've burnt through a shirt or 2 over the years. Gotta pay a little more attention next time. Hoping to mod my rear hitch tomorrow, get it to tuck up farther. Tired of it looking all awkward underneath.

Per Shaun's request: Update Time
Picked up a 5 speed tranny for $250 with only 80k on it

Then I got married on the 27th of February. Got to hang out with Shaun and Justin. And of course involved the rangers.
Batchelor Party!

Wedding Day!

Groomsman Cake

Lunch the next day

A little fun at work

Then my next project thanks to Shaun:

3rd Gen explorer console installed. Still working on a gap filler to mount my switches in.
I think that's it for now

Very clean install on the center console. For a filler plate, perhaps a strip of aluminum from a license plate bent to fit? Maybe some tabs for screws or something like that. I used aluminum for a filler plate on mine and it worked fine. I'd imagine the same thing could be applied here.

Or, if you want something sturdier, use a flat piece of steel. Heat it up with a propane torch or equivalent and bend that puppy. After you're done, you could either sand it down and clearcoat it for a nice finish, blue it with either chemical or the torch, paint it, etc. .....That actually gives me an idea for custom bed tie downs. Hmm.....

PS: Congrats on tying the knot! Always heartwarming to see happy people.

I am working on a gap cover that's plastic. It used to be a light cover that already has the bends in it. If it doesn't turn out right, I'll probably use some thin diamond plate and bend it.

That should look good when it's all said and done. I'd go for the diamond plate, out of the two.

I probably will go that route. The plastic is getting annoying to try and make work.

This happened it's name is "Big Ugly"

And before you go thinking I'm a betrayer, it's my donor truck for fullsize axles to do my SAS. Big things are coming! D44 front with Chrysler 9.25 rear. Need to refresh both axles and regear/recarrier them along with do a disc swap on the rear. Parting out the rest of the truck to help offset the cost of the additions. Hopefully get the rear on by the end of the year.
