Got a little progress this week. Shifter is ordered and so is the crush sleeve eliminator for the 9.25. Did some work on both axles too. Salvaged the leaf perches from the 9.25 and cleaned it.

Also cut the coil mounts off the D44 and cleaned it up.

Recent picture of Big Ugly

And now I have this problem to contend with. Just gonna use a couple washers on the body mount.

Leafs up front too. Keeping it as simple as possible. Maybe do coil overs one day.

Right on. Rancho 44044's and TG HD leafs are pretty good choices if you're still looking for set

Never thought about leaf packs up front. Definitely gotta know how the ride comfort is when you're done.

I was thinking Ranchos, but may do chevy leafs. I'd love for the rear leafs from the dodge to work with an AAL.

What's the eye to eye measurement on the rear leafs from the dodge?

It's pretty common to use leafs for a solid axle swap. The ride quality won't be the best but they work well.

What's your plan with the vacuum disconnect? Try to make it work?

Getting the CAD delete kit from EMS Off Road. Comes with a one piece chromo shaft and an updated seal along with a steel plate and gasket to cover the housing.
For now I'm wanting to run live axles just like the 4x4 rangers do.

It's 60- 60.5 inches from eye to eye on the rear leafs.
May be able to rearch them and use an AAL.

That's pretty long. I think the Trail-Gear and Rancho leafs are around 47" eye to eye. But maybe you can make them work

I'll have to see what I can come up with. If I use them and I arch them, I may end up with too much lift. Or I could put the 60" in the back and run my bastard ranger/explorer pack in the front thats only 56". But that's only a 4" difference.
My issue I had with possibly using the Ranchos is seeing a bunch of people complaining that the eyes were bending on them. But that's probably nothing that would happen on something as small as a ranger.

I've seen two guys (that I know of) run the Ranchos on a ranger with no problems. I think it was outdoorsman and ford78? Pretty sure that's the two I'm thinking of.

I had figured that they'd be fine for a ranger. Guys that bent them were probably in fullsizes and we're doing something that they probably shouldn't have been.

I may experiment with the 60" in the back and see if it will make much of a difference

I'm guessing either seats from another member or some really rare seats, like from a mustang gt or something.
