I know this is getting to be an old thread now and the truck has been sold. I didn't go through and read every page. I am unsure where the ranger reads the speed from, but what was done with the wheel speed sensor and the abs sensor? Those two things are really what's keeping me from moving forward with a sas front and rear swap on my 03 explorer

Usually when an SAS is done the ABS is no longer used and you get a programmer to recalculate the speed. That is what I did after my SAS and all is good.

It all depends on how much you want to keep abs. Still have mine with my d44 eb, had to modifie the spindle and hub to install 2wd ring and sensor on front and installed the oem 8.8 abs ring in my 9 inch with a custom hole for the sensor

fredfx4 you just gave me the info i was hoping to get. what all went into modifying the front end to accept the ring? I have 2wd and i'm looking to convert to 4 with a divorced transfer case and really this is the only thing stopping me from moving forward

I checked the carfax on the ebay listing and is has only traded hands to dealers. I know Cory sold it to a dealer out of portland and I am sure he sold it at auction... kinda funny though
