the filler neck will have to be worked on some to make it right. i got it from a nascar team that retired it.

tonight's progress:

just had to get a pic of it all painted and assembled:

Ok, this is a tremec 5 speed from a 2007 mustang. The shifter had to be shortened for it to sit where i wanted it. I ended up taking about 8 inches off of it. I still have to build a cross member for it and figure something out for a driveshaft(i have something in mind), but at least its in there and i can shift gears now!!! Ignore the position of the shifter to the seat in the pictures, i wont be using those seats and the new ones will be positioned differently. I am going to extend the shifter and tweak it to my likings once i get the seats mounted. The seats were supposed to be here today, but thanks to fedex, they wont be here until monday

Been kinda takin it easy the past few days, but I did manage to get the seat bracket made and the manual pedals installed:
edit: dont ask me why the only thing left to my interior is the pass side door panel... I have no idea why its still on...

as for the seat bracket, it is quite heavy(i got a little carried away) so i will be lightening it. The flat stock that is tack welded on the sides is only there for a guide when i take the plasma cutter to it:

Im going out of town this weekend, so i wont have any updates until next week. I have taken next week and the week after off from my day job so i can get some real progress done!!!!!! Ill keep you guys posted.
