Got a new headunit and radio bezel in last night. repainted the bezel in DSG. have been looking for the silver color used on the cluster and trim. if anyone knows of a really close match, let me know!

New headunit is a Boss BV7945B In-Dash 3.6" DVD/MP3/CD. it's not top of the line, but it works for me. have a new subwoofer coming as well. can't wait to get some tunes back in there.

Got the last seat cover sewn up today and got the driver's side installed, ready to go in the truck. need to get out tomorrow and get the passenger side sacked. man, these seats are so comfortable! added a little extra padding to the bolsters to help build them out a little. As you can see, I ended up putting the emblem in. Glad i did. I think they would look a little plain without them. Still need to find some trim for the recline mechanism. i have a set from a mustang. need to clean them up and see if they are black or charcoal. worst case, i'll steal them from my current seats and find a replacement set later.

Tomorrow's plans are to get the other seat covered, and both installed. If i get time, I have a little something planned for the passenger side airbag cover.

now, onto the pics!

man, these seats are so comfy in the truck. when you sit down in them, the bolsters are real firm, and you sink down in the middle. very nice. got to check out how the seat heaters are holding up as well. i had a burnt section in each of the driver's pads. i had a spot that felt like it was getting really hot. now i know why. but being carbon fiber heaters, you can cut them and they still work. so i assume it's the same with burns as they are still working. put them on the passenger side as they don't get as much use there. and now, the pics you have been waiting for.......
