when i put it front reverse to drive the is a big clunk tho. Havent had a chance to look under and see if its just the front u joint or if its act the gears. i hope its not the gears

not sure who put it under. i just came outside and it was there. thanks whoever did it.

detroits are know to do that. kevin 2002fx4 has a detroit in the rear of his truck and it makes the same noise in reverse.

i hope so. im still gonna have the driveline tech look at it when he shows up. the guy who was suppost to do my gears i found out was in emergancy the day he called off. cant get mad at him for that. lol

i just put it on the hoist and check all the u joints, they are good, no alxe wrap.

zach the gears felt good to me to. if anything they were a little tight and my concern is looseness in the drive line. unless something came loose on us i donno. i may have to pull the 3rd member and check :/

just hope to fix it before the mounds.

i got my new u bolts made as well. i said at least an inch longer and the guy made them 12.5in I.D. i couldnt even get a deep socket to turn the bolt all the way down cause they were to long. lol
were good now tho

sounds good evan! let me know, i would think you would be getting a whine if they were not setup properly. Lockers are known to make crazy noises, not what your used to.

Yea I've got a detroit in the rear of mine and it makes a ton of noise. I would describe it more as a racheting or snaping noise tho... but maybe mines f-ed up...haha

ps... saw your truck going down michigan ave the other day. Look sweet. Keep it up!

^^ lol thanks

well the 3rd member gotta come out. the tech says its moving way to much. io think we screwed up on that pinion nut zach. he was saying 200lbs for that. it should loosen up when we get that much torque on it. im gonna try and pull it out on lunch and have him reset it

well once u tighten the pinion nut more its gonna pull the gear away from the ring. so were gonna have to set the backlash and foot print again.
i still plan on being at the mounds. that is as long as nothing is already messed up
