High steer really should not be needed, not every SAS is done to go sky high.

 

High steer isnt meant for just sky high rigs. It improves the steering on just about every single application. The flatter the draglink the better.

The people that have done the SAS, how in the hell do you do it. I mean how do you know where to install/weld the new brackets for the SAS? How do you know to make the new brackets? How do you know where to meassure?

It cant be trial and error.

 

lots of measurements and check twice. measure off the back axle so square. this is zach dept. hes done it a couple times so i trust him.

 

true but his angle will not be bad at all. plus it will match the panhard mount. If he goes high steer it wont be much work to get it done, just the cost of the knuckle and high steer arms

some of its trial and error. some is "well that is about the only place it can go" type of thing. I am not a pro, i know some of the critical angles and places that need to be in a certain area, other than that its how you want to set it up. there are thousands of ways to do it.

 

I thought it gave more clearance under the axle as well? I'm not criticizing anything, just trying to learn more.

 

helps with bump steer moves the drag link out of the way of the front diff kinda tucks it up some..

i buy it from metal supermarkets, its a nation wide chain, they are local, free cutting so i just got to pick it up. DOM is crazy expensive.

been trying to get the old pitman arm off the yota box and its givin me hell. i dont think the puller is gonna last if i keep hammering on it.

 

stop, bring the puller and we will put some heat to it. i know i had to torch mine off.

 

nvm. its off. talked to the front end guy. all i needed was a bigger hammer and the thing shot couple feet away from me. lol
