Adding Posi to a stock 2001 Ranger

Hi All, I have a stock 2001 Ranger EX CAB it has the 3.0 V6 and the overdrive automatic trans. I would like to add posi or (limited slip) to the rear end. Is this something I can fish out of a junkyard? If so what do I ask for? If not who makes a good after market product and where do I get it? Thanks in advance for any advice.

welcome to the site mark!! the LS unit you may be able to find in a junkyard, possible in an explorer, mustang, or full size car. if you cant find one there are a bunch of companies that make some, a few being No-Slip, Eaton, Detroit Locker, etc.

im sure someone will pipe in who has some experience with a few different ones

I have one (28 spline posi) out of a fox Mustang that I need to rebuild (or have rebuilt) to go into my truck. A buddy of mine took it out of his car to replace it w/ a 31spline locker.
