difference between edge and xlt?

I just bought a 2004 ranger and the sticker said xlt, however it was a lease trade in at a toyota dealer and I have a hunch its the edge model. I know the basics between the two models, I have the vinyl floors, paint matched bumpers and fender flares, and the stock rear lift blocks just like the edge models but I have power windows, cruise and some of the xlt specs. Can someone help me out? I am looking to get some fabtech spindles but first I need to find out which model i have since they require different spindles. thanks

You have the edge. You can get power options on the edge models.

Its an Edge. Don't get the Fabtech, get Procomp or Doetsch.

Anything can break, especially if it's cast iron. I'd choose DT-casts over Fabtech though.

When in doubt call your local Ford dealer with the VIN # and they will tell you.

XLT: Chrome bumpers (optional colored), power windows- He could have an and edge more than likely since he has vinyl flooring

Unless I read it what you were trying to say wrong. Some of the people that own F-150 sport's think it is a performance truck, but it is rather just it having a sportier exterior.

Fabtech and DT are cast out of iron. DT gives you less problems both in install and down the line, so basically just pick the lesser of the two evils.

easiest way, other than external color-matching and interior vinyl floor:

look underneath the truck in front...are there coil springs on the lower control arms?
YES?= XLT
NO?= Edge

Hope that helps...and good luck in the modifications

Well there used to be Santiago Peek (off of silverado canyon road, kina out by Santiago JC) but they closed that one. So we have to drive all the way out to Azusa. Um becides that there is Stoddard Wells(Barstow), El Mirrage(forgot where that 1 was), and ofcourse Pismo up by SLO.
