1998 ford ranger blinker problem, sometimes they blink and sometimes they don't

Hello,

My truck just started doing this recently, sometimes my blinkers blink and sometimes they don't. How can I fix this? I will buy the parts I, but I need someone to tell me how to do it. Can you please help?

Welcome to the forum

Try the 4-way flashers when turn signals do not work, if they also do not work then replace the flasher, if 4-ways work then most likely problem will be the multi-function switch(turn signal stalk)

The 4-way flashers do come on when I push the hazard light button. I don't know if this helps but sometimes when the blinkers are on and turn off if I kick the bottom of my dash or hit it and they will come back on but then they most of the time stop working again. So with that being said are you sure it could not be the multi-function switch and maybe some kind of a lose wire?

I see your head light switch post, that would effect turn signals, fix that first then see what happens with turn signals

Not sure if you resolved this yet but... Try moving your tilt steering wheel to its highest position. Signals should work properly. Move the steering wheel to its lowest position, signals may stop working. At least this was the case with my truck. If your wheel is somewhere in the middle it could explain the intermittent issue.
