New latch, different 'door ajar' connector

Hey guys, I'm replacing the door latch on my rear door and upon installing the new one, which is a Ford part, I noticed the connector is different. Part numbers are the same on the latch. What's the deal? Do these connectors come off? Thanks for any suggestions.

You may need to get a different connector(wrecking yard?) and splice it to the truck wires

Its just a ground switch, so no polarity, door closed is No Ground(switch open), door open is Grounded(switch closed)
