1996 5L swap in 02 sport trac wiring help

Been looking all over the forums from the explorer to ranger forums trying to find info on how to do the wiring swap. Seems like there isnt any good relevant info on the 96/97 5L swap. Fxck PATS ! not about that or the stupid axs ABS to G censor for speed signals and all that other wack shxt. Not sure why ford did ford things and swapped to that over the transmission signal gear design. Pretty reliable and super easy to mod for bigger tires and gear change. Anyways i need help on what needs to be done to the wiring. Yes ive obviously googled it . Google relevance for searches is getting really bad considering they've dropped keeping up with it . These 4L german engines are terrible! They get the mpg of a gt500 and the performance of Segway . The rear timing cassette always breaks and the intakes leak . I can go on and on about how these engines are fxckin terrible. Im tired of it ! Ive got a 99 gt40p block with 96 wiring from the trans to engine. Ive got the ecu to go with it. Ive already got the return lines worked out . Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙏 i know this isn't a ranger but im at my wits end lol . I really want to keep the sport fail but im not doing any more work to that garbage 4L . I dont care how many miles you have on yours ... Or how yours has been the most reliable engine on the planet . Cool ,good for you. Not for me .

So you are putting a 1996/7 5.0l computer and wiring harness into a 2002 Explorer Sport Trac, assuming it had the 4.0l SOHC?

2002 was a new generation of Explorer

You will want to get this book: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/2002-Ford-De...-/264692135627

And this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1997-Ford-E...UAAOSwS41fLZVh

I didn't see a 1996 Explorer EVTM

The EVTM is the book Ford makes every year for every model and sends it out to every dealer/shop, its the electrical and vacuum troubleshooting manual
Has all the wiring for all options and locations, for that ONE Model and ONE Year

EVTM was renamed in 2000 model year to "Wiring Diagram" and no vacuum diagrams

When you have both you will be able to cross reference the wiring between the 1997 and 2002 vehicles

And when you are done you can re-sell them, so they are basically free if you can get what you paid for them

You think the 4L is bad? Mate, you must have never tried a 3 liter. They have the fuel economy of the windsor 302 and the horsepower of the lima 2.3 4-banger, and thats not even sarcasm
