Stereo not working NO sound at all… has anyone else had this happen?

one day the stereo in the ranger started making an horrendous and loud noise…. Very much like it was earthing out and the speakers were popping and banging… even with just one bar on the sound level dial… no matter if it was turned up 50% or 1% it was just as loud..

it did this on and off for a few days…. It was intermittently happening … I had to turn it off… and later if I switched it on it was okay… until the day it never came back on…. The sound that is

the unit all works fine visually…. Sat Nav etc… but zero sound at all … music in any way (FM, CD, Phone) … and no notification sounds either

any help appreciated

 

Reads like the amplifier in the sound system is bad, since all sounds are gone

We could never get your 2018 Wildtrack Rangers here in North America
Australian Ranger forums might be a better place to check

 

I have exactly the same problem, did you find out what it was?

 

nope.. never did.. I still need to take it to a stereo specialist... never got a reply on the forum where someone had the same issue

 

Did you ever get to the bottom of this I have exactly the same problem on a 2019 ranger limited
