4 HI Loss of power?
DING DING DING!! Except for snow covered streets, that IMO is the only reason for 4HI.

Your right lol, I dont think I have ever used 4hi on a trail. But then again, have 3.73's so I can't lol
I'll join in on the 4hi hating.
What's amusing about many a Ford owners manuals is the line that says, "You may never need 4lo..." I think that line should be revised to say, "You may never need 4hi."
4hi on even a easy trail works exceedingly well to heat up automatic transmissions and to help make stalling out easier in a manual.

agree! at the dunes 4low my trans runs at 150, where as in 4hi its around 190
