Lets see everyone's latest picture!
The R33 and R34 however are not federally legal. They are not 25 years old, and do not qualify for exempt status from emissions and safety standards. This is why they are not federally legal, they don't meet the US safety and emission standards. Simply because they were never fully tested.
There are still plenty of R33's and R34's driving around the US, however they're only state legal, which is a grey topic. If the government ever gets involved with the car, such as it gets impounded for street racing, it's an automatic seizure and will be crushed at a government approved recycler. It's really a sad story full of corruption, greed, and just absolutely stupid regulations as to why we can't have the R33 or R34, and a few other amazing Japanese cars.
Thanks! I doubt I'll ever ditch the fourth gen grille/headlights. I really like the smoked look and I've only seen clear corners, not smoked. Plus I lose my three turn signal bulbs per side lol.
I would like to know how some people mix a fifth generation grille with fourth generation lights, though.

They just cut the "ears" off and then sand the edges down smooth.
They make a film that you can apply over your headlights to make them look "smoked".
If I still had my 2000 Ranger, first thing I would have done to it would be an 01+ front end swap.

Makes sense. If I ever get any damage to those parts (hopefully that won't happen) then I might consider doing a headerpanel swap, but atm I can't justify it given all but two parts are brand new, practically.
