Not sure what brand the first post is but Westin Products makes one just like it. They also have several different versions of bull bars. They can be a bit expensive but are really high quality. Their are several knock off brands that have copied Westin's versions.

from other forums that is the one brand I was told to avoid the most because they cover up there wields with plastic as the wields are not good. but then again this is the internet so, I was also told CardId is the Alibaba of cars, absolute crap, but I was also told its the best site, the amazon of cars.

I've got a CR Lawrence Newport 14x32".

This one exactly:
SFC Newport 1432 Sunroof Kit

I was going to get their 17x32" model but because I have the overhead console I didn't want to run into the risk that it would be too large since I have a single cab. I believe I could have made it work but as it sits now if you have a single cab/explorer upper console the 14x32 size is really perfect.

Gets used every day as long as it's not raining. Open the rear sliding window and pop open the sun roof and I've really no need to open the windows...lol

The glass can be completely removed in 20 seconds. I am going to drive one day without it in just to see what it's like.

Hey newshockerguy

Very cool sunroof. Never thought after market. With my luck (bad). I will go down the highway and get hit in the head by it. Cutting a hole in the roof just isn't me.
Glad people are having luck with it. The back slider and front window are great. Love to see a before and after picture of the sunroof put in. Nice project.

I'd love to have a sunroof, too; but I simply don't have the ***** to whip out the cutter and dig in on the sheet metal. Maybe someday.

Better, although the bed being taller than the rest of the truck (reference the pinstriping) is a bit odd.

New2Ford:

Here ya go:

Really wasn't a bad install. Cutting the roof isn't any different than doing any other mod to the truck. IE: front spindle lift that requires trimming of the LCA...etc.

I guess I wasn't too concerned honestly. When I bought my STi back in 05' About a year later I had no problem cutting the roof of a $30k car to install a Spec-C roof vent on the roof...lol (it's one of those rare jdm parts). 12 years later and the thing is still on my STi, and no leaks.

I figured cutting the roof of a ranger can't be that bad since it was worth 1/4 of what the car was. It was harder and more time consuming to cut the headliner and make it look oem.

In a couple of those pictures you can see before I did a black suede headliner and mustang dome light with matching black visors as well. But definitely a mod that is used everyday that the weather is nice.

They give you a template and then you simply tape the template down on the roof. At that point you have completely control on where exactly the sun roof is going to be. The sunroof is actually very good quality. I'd say OEM honestly since CR Lawrence used to put sunroofs/moonroofs in factory cars. I believe Jeep GC was one of them. Then entire frame is bolted/clamped on the bottom. The glass is held in my two front locking pins and then the rear is held in with the handle/pins. It's not going anywhere short of you making an effort to remove the glass.

Installed Acme Projectors, TYC Headlight Housing, Acme SpeedyStart 35W 2.0 Ballasts, Acme 5000K Bulbs and the new Morimoto Motoh1der H1 Bulb Holder. All purchased from TRS. Awesome people.

Budget was 200 bucks. Went over by 20. I am happy. Gives the truck a much more modern look. I love the stares I get from the Taco Drivers. "I never knew Rangers had HID" to the Tacos.

Went a little 70-90's retro.

Got a rear window louver. Temporarily placed it on the window to see how it would look. I dig it.

I have to modify the upper brackets so there isn't a gap since it hinges upwards. I don't care if it hinges upwards because it hits the base rail of my tonneau cover.

It's a little different that you don't see anymore. Adds a little bit more privacy to the rear tinted slider window as well. Seeing out the back isn't affected TOO much but we'll see at night. I have a backup camera so that helps I'm sure.

Will post up better pictures once I am done with it and get it installed for good.
