I assume the 7.5 and 8.8 axels are 1/4 ton?

Basically. I've never really seen an official 1/4 ton definition, but those axles would be in that category

I wouldn't mind the look of a bigger axel in the rear. The 7.5 I have looks, well, to quote an old commerical: "wimpy, wimpy, wimpy!"

Something a bit fatter around would look nice under my rear bumper, I think. The black enamel though sure helps.

I just can't justify a set of half tons at this point for my little bitty 3.0, even moreso on a daily. Maybe later if I ever get a bigger engine.

A 31 spline 8.8 would be a nice upgrade

I'd love to have one of those, if only for the limited slip. Sick of being a one wheel wonder in the winter.

You could always buy mine. I currently have my 28 spline for sale (4.10 gears) and my 31 spline is going up for sale soon.

I would, but I don't have the cash lying around; and I'd imagine the shipping would be up there. I appreciate the suggestion though.

Been gone for a long time now and went through a 2004 Crewcab F150 for about a month and a half after selling the Ranger back in 2012. Decided I didnt like it, sold it for profit and bought another 2004 F150 Lariat on 35s. Drove that for 1.5 years until I started working ab hour away and sold it and bought a 2006 4Runner that I drove for 3.5 years up until June when I had the full size bug hit again. Bought a 2014 F150 XLT all stock like new. As for ol' red 2006 Ranger, girl that bought it hit black ice in it and totaled it :(

2wd 2000 4.0

I just started with my Ranger so for it has the Maxtrac 6 in Suspension lift ,tires are Falken AT3W WildPeak 32x11.50 / rims Pacer Mattee Black Alloy 15 x 8 , Promaxx black 3" Nerf Bars (((Things I'm doing in the near future))) is a Yukon Grizzly Locker , a Warn winch ,can't decide if i want to have a front receiver hitch ,so i can use the winch both for the front and rear ,or just a front mounted winch, a swing out spare tire mount,a cat back flowmaster dual exhaust , a good cold air intake , and LED light bars ,
