i have a 3" body lift and it wasnt for a 95' ranger, so the bumper brackets to lift the bumpers didnt work. thats why the gap between bumper and tailgait.

the angle iron is 4"x6"x1/4"thick about 16" long. the 4" leg is cut down to 3.5" for tailgate clearance. 2 bolts threw top of bumper. the other bolt you see goes threw webbing in the corner of the bed (to help the bumper from twisting). the pivot is a couple of old steel guide wheels with bearings that we were throwing out, a piece of thick all thread double nutted on top and bottom with a couple of washers as shims, it goes all the way threw from top to bottom includein step of bumper

the tire carrier i ordered off the net for a jeep for around $120 +/- the rest was free out of the scrap pile at work and the welding was free due to a "friend" discount.

if i could of done it different i would of went with a longer piece of angle to go all the way between bed sides. it would stop the twist all together but i used what i had at the moment

The gap isn't a big deal imo, especially with the tire gate, it totally covers the gap. Thanks for sharing.

i was planning on putting a angle under the bed, bolted threw but as i look under the truck, my options are to extend the 4x6 angle all the way across to catch the bumper mounts or build a new bumper on original mounts. im leaning towards extending it all the way across. a lot cheaper on material and welding fees. our tore up work welder might handle that, and thats a big might

lol. I was admiring your wheels too. My paint color is vista blue but i just had it painted and had them use the darkest shade without changing the color. The paint job was a very painful experience but I'm very pleased with the results. It took 3-4 months, a $1000 in rental car fees out of my pocket and lots of swearing at them for them to do their job. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I had to work really hard to get them to keep their promises. Lol.

Thank you.

Truck looks good, good to see someone really likes their Ranger.
Mine would end up E4 Red again, if I re-painted... maybe a black hood but after I find some Raptor like hood grills, lol, like thats going to happen.

The wheels are FX4, right !

X2... IF ONLY... an aftermarket company would pick up the design from Ford... some 8 or 9 inch wide versions would look good on a set of KMs or the red lettered tires (Manufacturer ???) ! 12.50's on a 8 inch rim look good !

You can still buy them from Ford but they're $535 each! I do like my factory wheels but I'd like them more with same offset but in an 8" wide. My wheels are $506 each!

I think you're referring to the General Grabber tires with the "red wall" letters.

OK, yes... I couldn't get that out of the old head ! Thanks.

Unless I read something wrong with them I think they will be my next tires.

Thks/Ltr

Added: Maybe we need to contact awhile manufacturer and try to persuade them to build some 8" or 9" wide rims.

Any suggestions ?

it's an 07 sport 4x4 4 door 4.0L v6 sohc. I removed the decals. I haven't decoded the vin yet to know all the goodies that It came with but the wheels were on it when I bought it. I like them too. Yes I really love my ranger!! I've had 3. This one is my favorite. I'm having lots of fun on the forums learning all the cool things I can do. I'm kinda behind in all the mods but everyone has been very helpful here. I have big plans. The paint job was just the beginning. I'm hoping to find a local ranger club that has the same passion and enthusiasm as the people I'm meeting here on the forum.

that's awesome!! I had no idea anyone was doing this. I was under the impression they would need to reproduce a copy from a completely new billet. Thank you for the info!! I bookmarked the link.

So many questions answered in such a short time... I'm gonna have to get busy and start peeling off those Benjamin's. Lol.

PS. I opted to stick with my oem headlamps and retro fit a couple leds in later instead of using after market spec D's.

Sylvania bulbs for the win!
