he wasn't driving like an idiot. if you read the first post, it says he was doing 40 and lost control because the road conditions were bad, not his driving style.

Speeding on tires that are shot, well let me tell you a little secret, its not a good idea.
Um... I'd much rather replace a set of tires then a whole front end.

300dollars > 1200 dollars

Um. If the conditions were that bad that he lost control at 40mph then maybe, just maybe he should have been driving slower

And the cop didn't ask how fast I was going because he saw it all happen. Actually, two cops saw it.

Oh and now the car doesn't have a single problem, besides the fact that it needs a tune up (at 76k now) And after the accident with the car I called the guy who I traded with and he said the truck had a check engine light on... totally a bad trade

So how do you just spin around in the rain? Snow I can understand, I hate driving in snow. However driving in the rain shouldent just cause you to spin around, assuming one was driving reasonably Think there was some oil or something on the road as well? My truck gets slippery in the rain to sometimes, but still you just have to be gentle with the gas. Im not talking about speeding either, I just mean even a little acceration like going up a hill or something and going around a curb at the same time, it has started to get loose on me before just giving it a lil gas, but never just spun around, as I back off the gas when I feel that.

Thats funny I replaced the entire front suspension of my 98 when i put it back to stock and was under $300 in parts including an alignment and that was New Upper and lower Balljoints, shocks, swaybar endlinks plus an alignment.

Where you got the crazy estimate of $1200 blows my mind theres no way it would cost that much to fix your issue you had.

he musta felt that he was driving appropriately (sp) for the conditions. you weren't there. stuff happens. it could have been a deer or another driver that he was trying to avoid. a person could be doing any speed and do an evasive manover to avoid something.
