I have the 2.5 in my truck rite now with a 5 spd n i was wondering wut everyone elses truck shuts off at i can hit rite about 100 then it shuts off but my buddy has a 2000 n just blows me away top end

And yah, I couldn't really understand what you were saying. I thought you meant your truck shuts off at 100 mph.


I'd guess mine stops accelerating at 93 mph. But maybe since i have bigger tires its 100 mph.

 

probably the engine governor kicking in. Restricts fuel supply from the fuel pump to limit the top speed. Mine does the same thing at 99mph -Mike-
