SAS on an 03 Ranger

i was wonderin on how to do this, and what is the biggest axle you can use for this swap?, and will the ford 9 inch fit in the back?. Anybody that knows anything about this would be able to help me out alot.

dude, all you have to do is search. theres been plenty done.

the skys the llimit when it comes to using axles. you can use mog axles if you wanted to.

yea , i was looking for a close to a direct swap so i wouldnt have to customize everything underneath the truck then.

You won't get anywhere close to a direct swap when doing a SAS.

You're better off doing something custom, it gives you a chance to tweak everything and make it even better than any kind of stock setup.

the easiest set up IMO is to use radius arms and coils like evans truck that beard build. idk where the pictures went you will have to ask beard about them

Hardest part will probably be all the steering linkage and stuff but should be nice and confusing lol

I just met a guy that used a 79 D44, he narrowed it a bit, but used the steering that came with the truck and he even kept the 6 in lift that his Ranger already had.

He started with a 93 Ranger, I think it would be possible just to use the steering setup of the donor front axle, if you get it.

i think the easiest and probably the cheapest set up would be a jeep d30 for the front axle and a ranger lvl2 8.8 in the rear. how big of tires do you want to run?
