4 X 4 Ride Height ..Need shocks

Hey Guys,
Can anyone tell me what the ride height should be for my 2004 Ranger XLT,4.0, 4 X 4 ?
I am trying to figure out if my truck has a lift kit because I need front shocks.

Does it make any difference?
Any help is appreciated.

Larry

With a body lift it doesn't matter, with suspension lift shock length matters

With a body lift there is often a gap seen at front and rear bumpers and the body/bed because they are attached to the frame, there may be a black rubber strip used to "hide" gaps

Yours "looks" like is has a lift

Ranger dimensions seen here: https://www.therangerstation.com/sto...er-dimensions/

If has an overall height but that changes with tire size

Best bet is to pull off one front and one rear shock and measure extended and collapsed length, or if you can find a part number on either look it up

Thanks Ron D.
So, are you saying that you think my truck has a body lift? ( vs a suspension lift ) So I can use a stock shock, right? My rough front measurement is 34 1/2" front and 36 1/2" rear. ( fairly level driveway ) to the top inner edge of the fender thru the center line of the wheel.
The front bumper has a space of about 1 1/4"

No, I can't tell which type of lift, just from the picture it looks like its axle's(wheel's) center line is about 3" or 4" below bottom of cab's line

If you look in the dimensions link above the wheels center line is at the bottom of cab line, on 4x4 it might be an inch or inch and a half higher
If you ran a string from center of front wheel to center of rear wheel it should run almost at bottom of the cab

Yours "looks" higher but can't tell how it was made higher

Thanks again, RonD. FYI, I do have a 4 X 4
How do I tell if it is a suspension lift or a body lift?

Look online at body lift kits and suspension lift kits see if you have any matching parts
