ball joints - XLT 2WD - ?

Ok here's the question. I know on the Edge & 4WD's to replace the upper ball joint you need the control arm as well. However on a 2001 2WD XLT ( coil spring susp.) can the upper ball joint be replaced w/o replacing the control arm?

check to see what uppers you have if they are casted into the upper arm then now they cant be pressed out mostly likely since your truck is newer 2wd coil spring it can be pressed out.. Take a pic and post it well let you know.
