For me:
Coils-overs $700 (used)
Bumpstops $15
Limit straps and brackets $123
New coils (600lbs) $143
Alignment $70
Total $1050. Add $250 for the coilover brackets. I got lucky and they came with my coilovers.
The bummer, not much change in height and no one knows I did any modifying unless I show them. I still have to match the rear since I can tell the difference from c/o and rancho. They still make it ride rough in the rear.

The plus. Rides way better.

Is there any way you could get a measurement from the center of the center cap to the top of the wheel well opening?

From ground to fender is 36" give or take. From hub to fender is 21" give or take. I have 31" tires. Your preload could give more clearance but like mentioned, it's the same as over cranking your Tbars and could put your axle shafts at some weird angles. Preload will be different from side to side as more weight is on the driver side.

Well I just finished reading the other 15 page thread. A VERY good read.

Another question. What of the Superlift kit would I need to do the front with coil overs? I heard they just got sold and their kit MAY not be available

Ok, that about settles it. I guess I will be looking for lift brackets

I don't see how you can make the Superlift kit work without using the entire Superlift kit (or at least the entire front - which is 95% of the Master kit).

In order to use the Superlift crossmember drop brackets you need to use their extended knuckles - then in order to use their knuckles you need to drop the differential using their drop brackets ....the list goes on & on.

Like the song goes:

The toe bones connected to the foot bone,
The foot bones connected to the ankle bone,
The ankle bones connected to the leg bone,
The leg bones connected to the knee bone,
The knee bones connected to the thigh bone,
The thigh bones connected to the hip bone

One thing is connected to another - that's why it's an overall kit.

I just don't think you're going to be able to install part of the Superlift kit and have it work.

I've heard that rumor for years now....they are still alive and kicking.

After putting the Superlift on, I can tell you that it's a kit for a reason

I was wondering if it came with t-bar drop brackets like the full size chevys do.

I can pretty much buy every component individually if Need be. But If I need EVERYTHING that comes in the box kit other than the rear blocks and u-bolts, I will get the whole kit and get rid of blocks/u-bolts

My source of Superlift being sold is a VERY Good source. Like they buy approx 5k a week worth of superlift suspensions a week Directly from Superlift

Yes it comes with torsion bar drop brackets - they would typically be needed in order to get the torsion bars to lineup with the relocated control arms since they would now mount to the crossmember drop bracket. Going the coilover route - You wouldn't need these specific pieces, but they are relatively minor anyway.

If you can piece the Superlift together 'part by part' (instead of sticking to the 3 component boxes that are packaged together as part of the standard retail setup) then I guess you could make it work but you will end up using almost everything anyway. You will definitely use all the pricey components.

I would just stick to purchasing the full master kit and call it a day.

Again, it's a kit for a reason.

Here is a post I made awhile back about each of the 3 component boxes that together makeup the master install kit. https://www.ranger-forums.com/suspen...7/#post2020807
Here is the install guide so you can see how everything sort of works together: Superlift K358 Master Install Kit - Install Instructions

My source is just as good - Google & History. lol Since at least 2009 they are being sold or bankrupt...tons of these 'rumors' everywhere over the years.

Who knows - Maybe one of these days it will be true (It's bound to happen).

Not saying your guy does this - but some sales guys over the years like to use this as a selling point in order to get people to pull the trigger right away under fear of missing out forever.

Superlift driveshaft isn't required. I don't have it. I'll need one at some point though

I have a solution for you:

Get part# 9631 (front, minus knuckles)
Get the coilover kit.
I have a set of 98-00 Superlift knuckles (I bought them off CL a while ago with the intention on making my own drop brackets for the diff and control arms) in my garage that I'll sell you for a decent price.
Get Explorer leafs, some 6400 shackles, and some extended shocks.

Also, as I mentioned a couple of pages back, I'm selling my coilovers. I would recommend you get some 12" 800lb springs for them, but the shocks are correct length for a Superlift.

PM me if you're interested in any of it.

I'm not sure what the differences are (Perhaps they can be simply modified), but Superlift includes different knuckles in their master install kits for the 98-99 Rangers than what they provide for the '00+ Rangers master install kit:

I was thinking it was 01+, but maybe it is 00+.
The difference is that the 00+ doesn't have the vacuum pipe on it, and they have the two sets of holes drilled for the different size rotors. I know that can be modified, because the pads on mine are oval, and there is clearly enough space for the holes further out to be drilled.

The larger brake rotors (12.00" versus 11.27") didn't come into play mid model year 2003.

That was mainly an issue with the RCD suspension kit & why it was marketed as only working through the 2002 model year. The 2003.5 & up guys (like me) had to 'downgrade' to the 11.27" setup in order to use the RCD suspension kit.

So other than some drilling, the older Superlift knuckles can be used on the newer trucks - That's good to know.

Looks like Superlift changed their knuckle setup to remove the vacuum tube for the 2000+ guys, & again for the larger brakes for the 2003.5 guys - when RCD didn't adjust for either.

Exactly. Here's a picture of the 03+ ones. The 98-99 ones that I have are made from the exact same casting, and the pads where the brake brackets mount are the same oval shape, but only the holes closer to the hub are drilled. It would be no problem to drill for the 03+ brakes. I may grab a caliper and rotor and have my machinist drill the knuckles for me, that way anyone could use them.

Also, if anyone is interested in the knuckles, I can have them powdercoated by the shop that does the coilover brackets. They do excellent work, and they are the cheapest I've found for any powdercoating.

I have PM'd everyone in red by now. Part of me wanted to say that I shouldn't have to go through and find everyone to PM them, but I don't want to sell anything out from under someone unless I've tried to contact them, so yes, I did, in fact, go throught the thread and find each person to give them a few more days.

However, I've paid for all of this stuff, and only half of the batch has been sold. I'm not a business, it's a hobby. I can't sit on inventory that I've paid for, so this causes me hardship. I need to get these things moved.

Thanks guys.

Guys, like he mentioned. He pays outta pocket. At least give him the decency and keep track of this thread if a sale is pending. I'm sure he gets frustrated having to chase down people for payment. I know I would.

We as ranger owners don't have much aftermarket and this guy is doing this outta his garage/going out of his way to do this. I bought used but I was looking at purchasing a set. The quality is there even if I gripped about the powdercoat clearances earlier.

Bump for a great sales man. His feedback should be through the roof.

Just got my brackets

I went to pick up my brackets at the post office yesterday. They look great, thank you me00stepside! Now to collect all the other parts and buy a case of beer for my buddy with the hoist in his garage.

FYI to other Canadians: I had to pay $52 in tax, brokerage and duties, so factor that into your budget.

Question: does anyone have pics of the new bumpstop mounting location? I'm assuming that's not optional and I'm going to need to chop off the factory bumpstop bracket...
