I did see some photos of that the other day as I was looking around. But, now I'm confused. On our applications the extended eyelet is required to avoid damage from the shock/spring contacting the CV
On a superlifted set up shouldn't I be alright to use the 12" springs with the extended eyelets?

If I stick with the spring 2x the length of travel "rule of thumb" then add the extra length from the eyelets I'd be looking at the LCA's being pushed down lower but not too far to max out the suspension provided I don't tighten up the spring tension a bunch. Wouldn't that be the equivalent to running 14" springs or tightening up the 12" ones. Or am I still missing something in my research? I haven't heard of people running anything smaller than 12" with a superlift.

That is correct - the extended eyelet is required.

Yes - you will be fine with a 12" spring on a Superlifted truck using the Fox setup. We were talking about the setup suggested for a stock height truck.

10" Spring = Stock
12" Spring = Superlifted

Ok. I have a 98 ranger and the t-bars are crazy tight. I have them maxed out and my shocks are screwed anyways. I plan on doing some major mods and I was wondering if the kit is still availible

I am new to these forums, but I have a 01 off road xlt 3” bl factory blocks and torsion twist to level it out with 33s. I am wanting these brackets the superlift and im thinking skyjacker rear leafs. FYI - You will still need like 90% of the overall master install kit even if you plan on installing these coilover brackets. But yes, you can purchase the component boxes separately at Summit or any similar type place.

Now if you're not going to use any of the Superlift rear lift, then you would only need to purchase 2 out of the 3 boxes, but that rear lift box (Part #2338) only runs like $69.95 so you might end up spending more in order to purchase the other two component boxes separately (that are still needed) rather than just buying the complete master install kit and selling off that rear setup afterwards.

Yea I know I still need like 90% I just wont need rear and torsion drop brackets. I am no stranger or ” newbie” to the suspension set up or sl kit, just wanted to know if I could get peices individually. I do appreciate your information though and you did answer my question + 1. Do you believe for the money that coilovers are worth it if I did it with the sl? Or doing it after you were superlifted? Thats going to roughly be $2500 give or take. I have the $ but I may just sl and leaf springs for now and coilover maybe couple months down the road so its not so much at once. But I still want brackets now!:-) I wouldnt coilover if I was going to stay stock height or what my torsion bars could get me, I dont see it being cost effective, but improving ride on superlifted truck I can see. Others may have different opinions and I respect that, its your truck your $ do what makes you happy.

 

I have the Superlift with the coilovers and it was definitely worth the money. Granted, I bought my entire setup from a guy going to SAS. So it was cheaper

Looking back it would suck paying for the kit new, but for long term payoff it will be better. For instance if you wanted a beefier bumper or a V8 you would just swap for heavier coils, which isn't expensive after you bought the coilover shock

 

Do kits come available on a regular basis on here or other forums? And is this the most used or popular ranger forum? Id rather go sl and coilover than sas. I just want to run 35s or 36s bl, sl, and coilovers. How much did you get your sl kit for?

After they're gone, I'll consider starting another run, but half the people who had put their names on the list over the last few months stopped responding and didn't pay, so I may rethink how I'm doing this. As long as people are buying them, I'll keep making them. I just can't sit on runs too long at this point in time.

Got my extended eyelets in! Just waiting on a off road shop here in town to get all the other parts besides the shocks and extended eyelets! Then it will be coil-over time!!

 

Got my package yesterday, i want to thank ME00Stepside for his awesome custom brackets! Everything was wraped up all nicely and looks to be in order, thanks again!

Just got off the phone with DownSouth Motorsport
They have NO CLUE what I am talking about when I say 10" or 12" shock. They say that would give me 31" PLUS travel and that is too much.

They are saying a 5-6" shock for stock and Possibly a 8-10" for a super lifted truck

So can someone clarify this?

 

You want a 10 or 12 in spring not shock.

10 for stock 12 for superlift.

The exact pn for the shocks you need have been posted in this thread many times but its a 5 in 2.0. Coil over with extended eyelet for stock or a 6.5" travel fox 2.0 coil over with extended eylet for superlift

 

I think it's coming from the fact you are using different/wrong terminology....

You want a 10" or 12" spring - not a 10" or 12" shock.

Hey guys has anyone gotten fox 2.0 remotes to fit. Got my brackets ordered and a set of uca's basicly i want the best 5inch stroke shock i can get as my driving consists of 90% high speed driving on very rough oilfield roads.
