Icon5 Mustang K-Member in an 89 Ranger

A friend of mine recently totaled his Mustang and was pulling parts he wanted before scrapping it. I have been bouncing around the idea of of a Crown Vic swap to eliminate the old twin I-Beam setup in my 1989 Ranger. He gave me his old K-Member setup for free with the idea of putting it in my Ranger instead of the CV swap. Has anyone done this before? If so, please point me to a post... already searched and found a couple dead-ends, but nothing with ANY meat to it. First hand knowledge would be nice, but any information is worth looking at.

Welcome to the forum

How was it "totaled"?
Would K member even be straight enough to use?
