Popping noise
Popping noise
Occasionally in my truck I will hear this popping noise that sounds like its coming from the front passenger side. I have no clue what it is, if its a ball joint, tie rod, motor mount, etc. It happens usually when I give the truck gas with the clutch in or sometimes while letting the clutch out. This sound has happened both while going straight or turning. The noises happen few and far in between. I am unable to reproduce this issue at command, otherwise I'd stick my GoPro somewhere to get a sound/video clip.
The truck was aligned in January 2016, the sound was happening before then. The alignment shop replaced a bad tie rod and I replaced all the shocks. I thought may have solved the noise but it has not.

1995 will have radius arm that prevents the front axle(beams) from rolling when you brake or step on the gas.
If bushing gets worn it can shift position which will make a noise.
Tie rods, wheel bearings or ball joints will effect tire wear, so check if a front tire is wearing unevenly

When I got my new tires in Sept/Aug I had to get them rebalanced soon after. Discount said there was slight slight wear on the front passenger side. I had them rotated on Friday and then the guy said everything looks great.
Back in October I replaced all the rubber brake lines, fluid, front pads, front rotors, front calipers, and front wheel bearings. My passenger caliper was frozen and because I put off this job too long my driver's side ended up metal to metal.
I'll try to inspect the bushings, tie rods, and ball joints this weekend. I haven't been the best at being able to diagnosis these things.
