I really want some coilovers but money and other variables are holding me back from that setup. Basically not sure what I want yet.
I was looking at some Bilstein 5150s for the front, would the light valving be what I would want?
Any other shock brands to go with? I have some cheap 30$ procomp 9000s and I want something better, goal is to control the suspension better or best I can. I know the procomps are not right for the application.

I'd look into the Procomp MX6's or MX6R's, they are nice shocks and adjustable too so you can adjust them to how you like just by turning a little **** between the settings. You can leave them soft for DD and then if you are towing make them a little firmer so you don't get bounced around like crazy.
your reasoning on those? They seem like nice shocks, built in bumps etc.
Their valving is for "leaf springs" or "coil springs" I am not sure how I would know what that valving really is?
I think I am going to get some bump stops too. Hopefully this will help on some of the things I need to finish up.

I suppose IF i get new springs I might as well save a bit more and get some coil overs. LOL
Rustys offroad makes a couple different sets and I think they go for about $110.00. You could also look into a set of OME springs from a TJ as they make a HD version but I don't think they will be tall enough.
I want to do some pricing but I may wait another month and go coilover and be done with it.
I am going to see about just going coilover. I priced it once but I didnt know what I was doing, I know more now.
I like my 5125s, I was going to get 5150s but I didn't want to spend the extra $50 lol. Those BBCS's seem to be pretty popular, you should be the test subject for us.

come down to houston and see it mo fo. once i get hard copies of my orders i can leave. ill probably be home some time next week... truck may be torn apart though, gotta add more tubes and mess with the steering among other ****
well the trucks I have seen are huge trucks, like 250s and such that you see lifted to the sky. I dont thing you made a bad decision or they are horrible shocks but I think its issues they need to work on.
If you go with shocks instead of coilovers this is the bilstein valving chart.

Same price as 5150s too. Longest is 12" travel with 32" extended length I think though.
