I'm getting me some rims and tires!!

Fort McMurray Alberta, Way up North. Moving back to Edmonton in the summer. Dick Cepek tires aren't offered in 32x11.5x15's and I don't want to go to 33 or 31's.
I've heard bad things about pro comps, but then again I have heard bad things about BFG's (no offense BFG people)
My deal may be falling through as my cousins prices aren't as good as I expected.

i will agree, there is only bad and worse as far as ice goes. but an open shouldered aggresive tire with no siping falls into the worse catagory. a BFG all terrain might do well for you.
i'm torn between getting the all terrains, or the KM2s myself, i know i won't much like the muds in the winter though! i'm just north of Red Deer, Alberta.
i think you'll get multiple opinions of the same tire everytime. different people just have different needs and expectations.

I'm happy with my Coopers, but, like everyone is saying, they are terrible in slush and ice. There's just no grip because even though the tread looks aggressive, it's a hard compound that doesn't stick to the surface. If you like driving sideways they're fine. Getting traction is no problem, it's just that they like to spin even once you're moving.
If you're in deep snow, they will just paddle right through it with no problem. On the highway they're great. I can sit on the freeway at 120-125kmh all day long comfortably. They don't seem like an M+S tire when you're on the road, they are very compliant.
I haven't tested them out in mud yet as well, it's January...where am I going to find mud in Ontario? lol
