Dakota ATs . . .

Have any of you had experience with this tire? I just bought my eagle 137 rims in 16" and saw the buy one get one free from pep boys. My dad had told me that these tires ride/perform very much like a BFG AT. Is this true???

Dakotas

And the Bfg's

*ALSO, I am looking at getting a 265/75/16... Can I safely go any bigger? I know a 285/75/16 is close to a 33", is that too much for stock height?

Yeah, for the price, i'd be saving over 200 bucks with the Buy one Get one. so the 285 would fit then with no rub?

Those 16x8 wheels have a 4.6" BS isnt that almost the same as a stock wheel?

I was gonna buy those but after all the fees they charge you its really not much of a deal if any at all. I ended up going with BFG's and I'm very pleased with them.

Thats the only thing I really don't like, will a 32" be ok with that BS? Could I get spacers to push them out some?

Well I really love the look of the rim, I just got the rims saturday, just waiting to get tires on (tonight hopefully). I was thinking the back spacing was the same as another rim... which was my mistake. I want to run the 265/75/16's still, will I be ok for now until i got spacers? Does anybody have any complaints/dislikes about getting wheel spacers to just clear rubbing, maybe like .75" spacers?

If you are running 265's i'd imagine that you'd be fine. I have 265/75R16 Irok's on my stock 16x7 wheels with no rubbing. I think stock wheels have about the same back spacing as the ones you just bought. Not sure if that extra inch wider will effect anything though?

I think if ANYTHING, I will pick up maybe a 3/16" spacer to just pull it out just a tad farther out then stock. I highly doubt that will put any more strain on the lugs then stock also...

Well, went ahead and got the Dakota's, and for the price ( $411.92 out the door) for this size of a tire, I couldn't beat it. The ride is somewhat firmer, since I cranked the T-Bars 3 full turns ( added about 1"). The only thing that they rub on is my pa speaker Here's a few pics...

I think it looks killer sweet now!...I did see them last night in person too unlike everyone else on here, haha.
I just realized that the truck may look better now without the step bars.

I'm starting to think the same... These pics really don't do it justice, but only if it had about .5" wider stance...... hmm...

Those tires caught my eye at AZ a couple weeks ago, due to the similar tread design to the bfg's. Tho, you gotta remember, especially in snow, you get all your traction from the side of the tire... noty so much from the actual tread

yeah wheels look good. let me know how the tires work out, they look more like a radial than an AT bc there is no sidewall tread.
