Gas Mileage

I have a 3.0 2wd 16 gallon tank and im getting about 200 miles at a little less than a quarter of a tank which is a bout 16 miles to the gallon. Could there be any problems or is that average?

that can all change with driving, I get 20 MPG when I don't push the truck hard. If I shift around 2,500 RPMS I get that type of gas milage.

Thats the one thing I hated about my 3.0. I get better mileage in my F150 than I ever did in my Ranger...

I've been consistently getting 24.5 mpg...before the bama...I havent tested it yet for mileage. But the only way I get that much is by driving it really easy on the throttle...I dont ever go past 2500 rpm

I drive hard, both highway/city. I average each fill up about 21.x miles before i fill up again. That ranges about 285-300 miles. And i also dont run it dry...I normally fill up when its about an 1/8 tank left

You have a 2001 3.0 2WD and getting 16mpg? I'd say something ain't right.
I have a 2003 3.0 2WD and getting average 25mpg with 70K on the odometer.
Are you running oversize tires or what?

well my tires arent exactly oversized, but they are bigger than the stock wheels, p255/70/r16, and i still get about 20 with mine, but it could be that your stuff is dirty, check like the air filter and what not

with the 19.5 gallon tank i get roughly 280-300 miles to the tank, but thats also driving about 20 miles one way to work everyday. it used to be worse until I changed plugs and wires, and gutted 1 of the cat's. once I gutted just the 1 cat I saw a huge increase in gas mileage, it was also pretty clogged, and so far no trouble codes.
