TEMP. GUAGE SENDING UNIT

Where is this located on a '99 Ranger with the 2.5L engine? I want to try and replace it b/c the temp guage doesnt move past the "C'' no matter the weather conditions. also, the heater works VERY well so it can't be the thermostat stuck. any help would be appreciated, thanks

You should find it somewhere on the top of the motor, just follow whatever piping is connected to the water pump, mine wasn't to far away from the thermostat but I have a 95, it just had 2 little wires coming out of it and was threaded in, you take it out and you'll see coolant.
