Is there a port in the 5R55E tranny to install a oil temperature unit?

I"ve been wanting to see a trans temp guage on a 5r55e trans. How do you have your guage mounted?

I used a "ProSport" gauge and if I recall correctly it came with a sensor for the tranny. What I like about ProSport is that it is black face. The dial is black until you power it up jmho

Google ProSport and take a look. I'm running several of their gauges.

will this work on any ranger tranny? How do you figure what model tranny is there? mine is a 05 4.0L 4x4 Auto. guess I'll have to climb under there and see if I have the port.

Think this will be my next mod, I like the ultra series II for guages cause it changes color day to night. So any temp reading sending unit will fit in the plug hole, im guessing?

Follow Crunchy"s outline and if you want to add a Pod order one on line and do so.
Good luck
