'87 2.9 FM145 - Looking for stickshift parts
Hello all,
So I own an 88 2.9 ford ranger but it looks like someone took a Mitsubishi FM145 trans from an 1985-1987 ranger and put it into my truck.
The shifter is super loose, like hard to tell which gear you're about to go into. I took it apart and there appears to be nothing between the bottom of the stick and the "cup" in trans where I assume a bushing normally would be? Just metal-to-metal. Or is that green thing the bushing? Green thing is super solid and doesn't seem to budge.

I tried to look online and local stores but no luck for this bushing.
I found an old related thread for same trans and part.
https://www.ranger-forums.com/genera...ywhere-145437/
where RonD mentions one might have to make their own and also gave a few references. I tried calling but they didn't have this part :(
I've tried a couple junk yards nearby too but no luck.
How would one make a bushing? also, does anyone know what this bushing even looks like?
Is this close to what it might look like? (the white piece on right) *EDIT*: I think this might be what it looks like: left side / middle picture (red piece): https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/06...g?v=1580227509
Other options I've thought of are just live with the looseness (it doesn't jump out of gear) or I found this HURST shifter
https://core-shifters.com/collection...d-bronco-ii-v6
But I'd rather pay $5 for a bushing instead of $200-$300 for something I don't fully require. Hmm..
Anyways, Thank you!
