93 Ranger no crank no start

Any advice on a 1993 Ranger that wont crank?
Truck would start fine but was stalled a couple times in a row. Would not start afterwards. Had to push it and put it in second gear to start it and get it home. Since then has not cranked at all no sound. All lights turn on. Battery reads 12 volts. New battery terminals, starter and starter solenoid. All wires seem free of corrosion. Some other posts seem to mention clutch safety switch? Any help is appreciated thank you.

Its a v6 3.0L

Welcome to the forum

Battery needs to be above 12.3volts, just FYI, 12.3v to 12.9volt is a charged and good battery

But no "Clicking" when key is turned to START usually means starter motor is bad

To test if its the starter motor, or may be the ignition switch, find the Starter Relay mounted on inner fender by the battery, looks like this one: https://partsavatar.ca/product-image...w1951c-pa3.png

Often called starter solenoid

One of the larger posts will have a larger cable to Battery Positive terminal, along with several smaller wires
Then there is a smaller post with 1 wire, this is used to Activate this relay and turn on starter motor

MAKE SURE TRANSMISSION IS IN NEUTRAL!!!!!!!

Use a jumper wire from battery positive to the smaller post, relay should "click" closed and starter should activate
If no "click" then replace the starter relay, its bad, take a picture so you know where each wire goes if you replace it
If it "clicks" but no starter motor then replace starter motor

If it "clicks" and starter motor works then the Relay's smaller post is not getting 12volts from ignition switch when its turned to START
In a manual trans vehicle there is a Clutch Pedal Safety switch, in the cab on the clutch pedals push rod
When clutch pedal is pushed down all the way this switch closes and the 12v from ignition switch can pass thru to starter relay in engine bay

12volt--Ignition switch(START)--------------clutch switch---------------------------------------------------------Starter relay(small post)

Starter motors just quit one day, there is no real "warning signs", same for starter relays or clutch switches

Let’s see if I’m right lol

Do you have your starter wire connected on the right spot of the starter solenoid on the top of the solenoid would be the power and accessories the bottom would be power to everything else and to the left looking directly at the solenoid is we’re that wire would go
