we should ask you the question,
you have more mods on your engine than most

hah, all I have is headers, exhuast and intake

I think a better question for this thread would be...who in the world has the 3.3 Stroker from morana....I really would like to know what kind of hp it makes.

You mean torque...

Being that you have a header, intake, and exhaust -- You have more mods to a 3.0L than most people ever will.

There are a few people that have more than that, but not many. I haven't done anyhting with mine, and I still think it's kinda quick, I can't imagine what could be done with a tuner, intake, header, exhuast, pulleys, e-fan, and screamin' demon!

Although, you may also want to swap over to a 4.0L Transmission to be able to handle more power and last longer, it would be a whole lot cheaper than the engine swap as well.

I wonder though...

if I bought a BAMA and then later put in a 4.0 tranny...wouldnt I need a new BAMA to adjust for the new tranny?

I'm going to go looking for wrecked 03-04 cobra's soon at my local junkyard

Im pretty sure you can put a 3.3 stroker in on a stock trans and it should hold power. It probably only makes about 225-250 flywheel HP, same as a Supercharged 3.0.....

I have to disagree with that. I drove the 2.3 and the 3.0 before I bought my '07. The 2.3 is very flat off the line and there is nothing in 5th gear at highway speed. 5th in a manual trans. I would love the MPG but the power wasn't there. My 3.0 keeps me at 70mph in 5th going through the Arizona mountain grades and I could tell from the test drive that the 2.3 wouldn't ever do that.

hp is about the same but the tq is higher. The 2.3 is a great motor and I'm not in any way trying to put it down.

Peak HP is the same, not mean/avg. But put either in a manual reg cab with 4.11's in the rear and it'll probably be a driver's race more than anything else.

LOL a friend of mine has an 01 regular cab 2wd auto 2.3L. I beat him so bad everytime. I let him pull out of his drive way and take off, then I pulled out behind and just catch right up and go around with little effort! However, he is auto, bagged, and Im a 5 speed with 4.10s, plus two extra cylinders LOL. His truck is in pieces now, undergoing a 347 stroker (5.0 HO base) fuel injection swap

People have, repeatedly. The 2 3.3's I know of both got sold due to $$$ issues before being installed. I've seen some good ones though, roller rockers, cam, porting and polishing, ceramic headers, high-flow cats, I've played with them all (and two superchargers). I really liked the NA lope on the cam and RR's, but the EEC-IV is too much of a PITA. I love tuning the EEC-V, soooooo much easier. Next 3.0L project is an EEC-V for sure....
